Felix M. Ortiz, Sr.

Felix M. Ortiz, Sr., 53, of Bethlehem, PA died Friday, May 16, 2008 at St.Lukes Hospital in Bethlehem. Born October 1, 1954 in Coamo, Puerto Rico he was the son of Dalila Ortiz of Bethlehem and Miguel A. Ortiz of Puerto Rico. He was married to Margarita Berrios Ortiz with whom he would have celebrated their 17th anniversary on Aug 2nd.

Felix worked for the former Bethlehem Steel in the Coke Works Department and also the Beam Yards for 27 years. After retiring from the Bethlehem Steel he was a school bus driver for the Bethlehem Area School District. He was also the owner and operator of FMO Painting. He was a member of The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Bethlehem. Felix was a very active man and would help anyone out who asked. He had a passion for cars especially Toyotas. Felix loved his family and friends and enjoyed the time he spent with them at the beach and their picnics. He will truly be missed by all those who knew him.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Margarita of Bethlehem, children; Felix M. Ortiz, Jr. of Allentown, PA., Ernesto Ortiz, Jr. and wife Ashley of Whitehall, PA, Jessica M. Ortiz-Eichert and Husband Julian of Kutztown, PA, Dalisa Ortiz of New York, Joshua L. Ortiz of Allentown, PA., Marcos M. Ortiz of Allentown, PA, Eliana M. Ortiz of Bethlehem, PA., brothers; Jose "Cheche" Ortiz, Humberto Ortiz, Jorge Ortiz, Jose R. Ortiz, sisters; Elsa Ortiz, Hilda Cruz, Carmen Cruz, Norma Ortiz, and Lydia Sanabria.

He will also be missed by his four grandchildren; Julian Michael Ortiz, Jadelyn M. Eichert, Joshua L. Ortiz, Jr., and Adriana R. Ortiz.

A viewing will be held on Thursday May 22, 2008 from 6-9 PM and again on Friday May 23, 2008 from 9-10 AM both at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 10 AM followed by a graveside service at Bethlehem Memorial Park Cemetery.
