Flora Bednar

Flora Fenstermacher Bednar, 93 of Bethlehem died Saturday morning at Holy Family Manor.

She was the wife of the late John T. Bednar who died in 1978

Born in Bethlehem she is the daughter of the late George and Edna Fezer Fenstermacher

Flora, always kind and generous to her family and friends, enjoyed cooking, canning, and was noted as a hardworking lady who was devoted to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was a homemaker. She loved the outdoors especially her gardens. Flora had a passion for collecting stamps and coins and maintained a most impressive collection of United States and foreign stamps all meticulously cataloged in her many albums.

Surviving are her brother Richard Fenstermacher and her sister Ethel Weaver both of Bethlehem

In addition she is survived by her grandchildren: Bonnie Taglang and her husband Dennis of Hellertown, PA, Donna Bednar and her husband Peter Cornelius of Old Lyme, CT, and Donald Bednar, Jr. of Allentown, PA.

She is also survived by her six great grandchildren: Brett and Kyle Taglang, James and Louis Bednar, and Ryan and Erin Cornelius.

She was preceded in death by her son Donald R. Bednar, her brothers: LeRoy and Franklin Fenstermacher and her sister: Evelyn Fenstermacher.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at11:00 a.m. in the Connell Funeral Home 245 East Broad Street Bethlehem, PA

Visitation will be Friday 10:00 a.m. to 11:00a.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.

Interment will be in Bethlehem Memorial Park.
