Florence A. Sovorsky

Florence A. Sovorsky, 91, of Bethlehem, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at St. Luke's Hospice House. She was born on November 24, 1931, the daughter of the late Veronica (Vavrek) and Joseph Baran. She was the loving wife of the late Michael B. Sovorsky.

Florence was a long-time member of St. Anne's Church in Bethlehem where she was a member of the Sodality and the 55 plus club. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, especially scarves that were donated to those in need and clothing and afghans for her family.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Michael Sovorsky and his wife Theresa and Robert Sovorsky and his wife, Nancy; grandchildren, Jessica, Amber and Katelyn; step grandchildren, Jennifer, Tiffany, Daniel, Jaret and Sarah. and 13 step great-grandchildren. Florence was preceded in death by her brother, Edward Baran.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2022 from 6-8 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A viewing will also be held on Monday, December 5, 2022 from 10-11 a.m. at St. Anne's Church 450 Washington Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18017. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. in the Church. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Anne's Catholic Church
