Florence D. Lang

Florence D. Lang, 64, of Bethlehem, PA, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2015 with her family by her side, after a long and courageous battle. Born December 17, 1950 to Hjalmar and Anne Elizabeth (Murphy) Rodin on Staten Island, NY. She attended Staten Island Community College where she met her husband, Robert M. Lang, of more than 15,070 days. Florence proudly worked at St. Luke's Hospital as a Respiratory Therapist for over 36 years to the day. She served on the Employee's Fund Committee for many years. Florence was a driving force for the National Smoke Out Day, working with the American Cancer Society, which then ultimately became the St. Luke's Employee Health Fair. She also collaborated with the Pastoral Care Department to establish the Memorial and Memorial Service to honor those who lost their lives while still employed at St. Luke's. She was an avid lover of music, Broadway Musicals, and of course reading. She had been a Musikfest volunteer and supporter of the arts throughout the Lehigh Valley.

She will be dearly missed by her husband, Bob, her daughter, Jeanine Noelle, her two grandsons, Tannen and Zachary Robert, and countless friends. Family will receive friends from 2-5 pm on Thursday, July 16th, 2015 at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St Bethlehem PA, 18018. A service will follow at 5 pm.

Donations made to the family will be split among Florence's favorite medical charities.
