Frances M. Lipp, 90, of Bethlehem, PA, went home to our Lord on Friday February 21, 2025, at St. Luke's Hospital Anderson surrounded by her daughters. Born in Mahanoy City, the daughter of the late Joseph and Ann (Zaborski) Mulacheski, she married Charles J. Lipp in 1955 and would have celebrated their 70 year anniversary on June 19th.
She worked for Western Electric in Allentown until retiring to care for and cherish time with her grandchildren. Frances was devoted to her God and family and gave everyone her unconditional love and support. She was a loving wife, mother, Nana and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In her 90 years she traveled to Hilton Head Island, Hawaii, Ireland, Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Morocco, England, Bermuda, and cruised the Mediterranean and the Mississippi River, sharing all of these experiences with her husband and daughters. She maintained lasting friendships while being active at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 55 Plus Club, Bible Study and Silver Sneakers at the YMCA, and particularly enjoyed her special birthday lunches. Fran also volunteered for many years at the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, being sure to get play tickets for her children and grandchildren. The host of all family gatherings, her home was the place to be during the summer for swimming, quoit tournaments, barbeques, July 4th fireworks, Easter egg hunts in the Spring, and kielbasa for Christmas. Of her many lasting legacies, the importance of family above all else she instilled in her daughters and grandchildren is something that will live forever in their hearts.
She is survived by her husband and daughters Barbara Peeling and her husband Jeffrey of Wrightsville, PA; Charlene Brown and her husband Robert of Bethlehem Township; Debra Boardman of Lansdale, PA; Son-in-Law, Bruce Chickey of Bethlehem; Grandchildren, Michele Boardman, Robert Brown, Nicole (Chickey) Vidoni, Gregory Brown, Michael Brown and Daniel Boardman; Great-grandchildren, Robert "Robbie" Brown, Rory Anne Brown, and Aubrey (Vidoni) Smith. She was preceded in death by her youngest daughter, Nancy Chickey, which broke her heart.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 3219 Santee Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18020 at 11 a.m. The viewing will be held at 10:00-11:00 a.m. in the church. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
