Frances M. Whitesell

Frances M. Whitesell, 89, of Bethlehem, died Monday July 17, 2006, at St. Luke?s Hospital, Bethlehem. Born, January 17, 1917; she was the daughter of the late Bernard J., Sr. and Mary M. Rhoades Skelly. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry C. Shiner, who died in 1963 and second husband, Clifford P. Whitesell, who died in 1991. She was a member of the Bethany United Church of Christ, Bethlehem and was formerly employed by St. Luke?s Hospital, where she worked in the gift shop.

She will be lovingly remembered by: son, Donald H. Shiner husband of Deborah E. of Greensboro, N.C.; sister, Geraldine Pulley of Bethlehem; grandsons, David C. Shiner husband of Lisa of Akron, OH and Dennis A. Shiner husband of Kim of Westmont, IL; great grandchildren, Zane and Carly of Akron and Amy, Amanda and Alexa of Westmont; step son, Bruce Whitesell; step daughter, Constance Whitesell; best friend, Barbara Backensto of Bethlehem; many nieces and nephews. Brothers, Bernard, Jr., Peter and Richard all died earlier.

Arrangements are being handled by Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St; Bethlehem where visitation will be held on Saturday July 22nd from 1 to 2 p.m. A 2 p.m. funeral service, in the funeral home, will follow. Burial will be at Bethlehem Memorial Park.
