Frances Marie Morrissey

Frances Marie Morrissey, 66, of Easton, PA died Monday, September 12, 2016 at St. Lukes Hospital in Fountain Hill with her family and friends by her side. Born in Bethlehem she was the daughter of Sophia (Dodig) and Artillo Martin of Bethlehem. She was married to Richard J. Morrissey with whom she celebrated 35 years of marriage this past May 30th.

Frances worked as a florist and was co-owner with her husband of Rich Mar Florist. She was previously employed by the Diocese of Allentown and Bethlehem Steel before entering the floral business. She was a dedicated parishioner at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Bethlehem Township. Fran was a 1968 graduate of Bethlehem Catholic High School. Mrs. Morrissey was great wife, sister, aunt, mother and grandmother who will be missed by all those that knew her. Frances loved to decorate her home, spend evenings and celebrations with her family and was a generous person to all who needed her.

She will be lovingly remembered her husband, Rick, son, Jonathan Morrissey and wife, Melissa of Easton, granddaughter, Charlotte and sisters, Mary Weaver and Susan Scott and her husband Van, Great nephews Nathaniel Edwards and Santino Martinez

A viewing will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2016 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 6-8 p.m. and again on Monday from 10-11 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Perpetual Help 3219 Santee Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18020 at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethlehem.

Memorial contributions may be made in Mrs. Morrisseys name to the Morrissey-Hahn Scholarship Fund c/o Advancement Office, 133 North River St., Kings College, Wilkes Barre, PA 18711. Fran had a passion for flowers and her family encourages you to send flowers for her.
