Frances "Nancy" H. John

Frances Hope John, 91, of Country Meadows and previously Atria, Bethlehem, passed away on Wednesday, January 17 at St. Lukes Hospital. Born in Easton, she was the daughter of the late E. Lawrence and Clara (Morrow) Taylor and the wife of Kermit “Kirk” John who predeceased her in 2008; they were married for 53 years. Nancy graduated from Easton High School in 1944. She retired from Lehigh Valley Railroad and Conrail after 39 years. She was an avid reader, accomplished ceramist and a member of Bethany UCC, Bethlehem.

Survivors: brother, Harry Taylor and his wife, Lorraine; nieces, Susan Pursel and Dana Bender; nephews, Lawrence Taylor and Steven Taylor; great nieces & nephews; and close friends, Carolyn & Bernard Suess.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, Jan. 22, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem. A 10:30 a.m. funeral service will be held in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.
