Francis "Babe Turek, a beloved member of the Bethlehem, PA community, passed away peacefully at the age of 90 on April 21, 2024. He was born on April 15, 1934, to the late John and Anna S. (Supko) Turek. Babe was a cherished friend and family member to many. He will be greatly missed by all who know him.
Babe was a graduate of Bethlehem High School Vocational Technical School. He proudly served in the United States Army and was stationed in Orleans, France and was a member of the Color Guard. Babe returned to his education, attending IBM Evening School and began his career as a draftsman for Mack Truck.
Babe was an avid bowler, played softball in the Bethlehem City League, and enjoyed watching sports.
He will be dearly missed by his nieces and nephews. Babe was preceded in death by his siblings, Anna Kuronye, Mary Pusch, Veronica Perkins, John Turek, Stephen Turek, Joseph Turek, George Turek, and Paul Turek.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home. A visitation will be held at Incarnation of Our Lord Parish, 617 Pierce St., Bethlehem, PA 18015 on Friday, April 26, 2024, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at Ss. Cyril and Methodius Cemetery.
