Francis J. Pecuch

Francis J. Pecuch, Sr., 88, of Bethlehem passed away Wednesday October 12, 2011 at Gracedale Nursing Home in Upper Nazareth Twp. He was born on April 2, 1923 in Bethlehem, son of the late John and Anna Svirzvosky Pecuch. He was the husband of the late Blanche D. Davco Pecuch.

Francis worked in the iron foundry and also the general services dept. for Bethlehem Steel retiring in 1978. He also worked in the maintenance dept. for Lehigh University from 1978-1986. Francis served his country in the US Army during WWII in Europe and N. Africa. He also served as a medic on the Queen Mary crossing the Atlantic 38 times. He was a member of the Men's Jednota, and National Sokols.

He will be lovingly remembered by sons, Francis J. Pecuch Jr. of Bethlehem, and Thomas Pecuch of Coopersburg, daughter, Jeanne wife of Chris Remmel of Coopersburg, brothers, George Pecuch of Bethlehem, and Stephen Pecuch of Allentown, twin sister, Cecelia Kish of New Jersey , 6 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. .

He was predeceased by brothers, John and Albert.

A Funeral Service will be held 10:30AM Monday October 17, 2011 at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18018. Calling hours from 9-10:30AM Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour.
