Francis T. Martin

Francis T. Martin, 89, of Bethlehem, died on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Holy Family Manor in Bethlehem. Born August 19, 1923 in Bethlehem, he is the son of the late Francis P. Martin and Caroline T. (Szoke) Martin. Francis was preceded in death by his wife, Helen O. (Wetenko)

Lomonski Martin. Francis proudly served in the US Army Air Force during WWII, Pacific Theatre. After returning from war, Francis worked for the Bethlehem Steel Corp., as an inspector for the City of Bethlehem and later worked for Muhlenberg College. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bethlehem Twp.

Francis is survived by his sons, Francis T. Martin, Jr. of Coopersburg; David E. Martin of Fellsmere, FL; daughter, Patricia Brinley of Harrisburg and step daughter, Anna H. Hero of Bethlehem as well as his sister, Kathleen Mondok of Bethlehem; brothers, Patrick D. Martin of Georgia and Richard Martin of Bethlehem and five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Francis was predeceased by his brothers, Joseph and Edward, step daughter, Julia R. Nemeth and step sons, Michael and Walter Lomonski.

A gathering will be held at Holy Family Manor, St. Ann Chapel, where Francis was a greeter at the daily mass, 1200 Spring St., Bethlehem PA 18018 on Thursday, January 17, 2013, from 11:30-12 p.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 p.m. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery. Contributions: in lieu of flowers may be made to Holy Family Manor 1200 Spring Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018.
