Francisco Dealmeida

Francisco DeAlmeida, 71, of Fountain Hill, died on Monday, December 6, 2010 at Hospice House of St. Luke's in Bethlehem. He was born in Trancoselos, Portugal, the son of the late Antonio and Emilia Lopes DeAlmeida. He was the loving husband of Olivia Costa DeAlmeida. They would have celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary December 18th.

Francisco worked for Lisbon Contractors in construction and also the Lusitina Bakery. He was a member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church in Bethlehem, the Portuguese American Club, and the Fountain Hill Hose Company. Francisco loved soccer and gardening.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Olivia; son, Joao DeAlmeida of Florida; daughter, Emilia, wife of Celestino Dacosta of Fountain Hill;

two brothers, three sisters, granddaughter, Jennifer Dacosta and a great-grandson, Josiah Acevedo. He will also be missed by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, several nieces and nephews and his godmother, Maria Dacosta.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Isaura Vilaverde.

Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held, Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Infancy Catholic Church, 312 East Fourth St. Bethlehem, PA 18015. Visitation will be from 8-9:30 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad ST. Bethlehem, PA 18018. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem, PA.
