Francisco Velez

Francisco Velez, 76, of Bethlehem, died Tuesday, February 21, 2017 in his home with his family by his side. Born January 15, 1941 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Zoila (Santiago) and Dionicio Velez. He was married to Carmen (Arroyo) Velez with who he would have celebrated 54 years of marriage this coming April 24th.

Francisco worked and retired from Robbins Container Inc. He was a member of Holy Infancy Church in Bethlehem.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Carmen, daughters, Zordaida Diaz and husband Angel, Miriam Perez and husband Rafael and Mirsa Rosales and boyfriend Carlos, sisters, Trinadad Velez, Adelina Velez and Ana Velez, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Francisco Velez, Jr.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, February 23th from 6-9 PM and on Friday, February 24th from 2-4 PM and 6-9 PM at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 A calling hour will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, February 25th from 11 AM to 1 PM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Infancy Catholic Church 312 E. Fourth St., Bethlehem, PA 18015 at 1:30 PM. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethlehem.
