Frank Hirschbeck, Jr., 83, of Bethlehem, died on Thursday, June 9, 2011 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born October 9, 1927 in Allentown; the son of the late Frank Hirschbeck, Sr. and Elizabeth Grohotolsky Hirschbeck.
Frank was preceded in death on June 9, 1990 by his devoted wife, Jean Seibert Hirschbeck.
He graduated from Central Catholic High School.
Frank proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
He retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp. where he served as supervisor of the Data Processing Dept. Earlier, Frank worked for Lehigh Valley Dairy, where he met his wife, Jean and the A&P Market.
Frank will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Judy Yochum of Pocatallo, ID; Linda Stocklas Fry; Donna Hlavinka and Susan Becker all of Bethlehem and his son, David Hirschbeck of Hellertown. He will also be dearly missed by his 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Frank was predeceased by his son, Frank F.; his sisters, Hilda Prozonic and Helen Hengeveld and his brother, John.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
A viewing will be held from 9-10:45 AM on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 at St. Anne's Catholic Church 450 Washington Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18017 with a Mass of Christian Burial to immediately follow.
Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
Memorial contributions may be made to the church, American Cancer Society 3893 Adler Place, Ste. 170 Bethlehem, PA 18017 and/or The Hospice of St. Luke's 1510 Valley Center Parkway Ste. 200 Bethlehem, PA 18017
