Frank J. Donnelly

Frank J. Donnelly, 84, of Bethlehem, died in his home on March 14, 2022, surrounded by his family after a brief illness. He and his wife, Patricia would have celebrated 48 years of marriage on March 16th. Born on August 10, 1937, in Newark, NJ., he was the son of the late Mary (Dobbins) and Patrick Donnelly.

Frank attended Seton Hall Prep and served his country in the United States Navy. He retired from Mack Printing and later worked as a personal consultant for 15 years. In his spare time, Frank managed the South Side Senior Baseball team, who were the PA state champions in 1977. He also coached football for Holy Ghost school and was a faithful member of Holy Infancy Church.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Patricia Donnelly; seven children, Pattie (Steve) Spitzer, Elaine (Tim) Finney, Frank (Nancy) Donnelly, Shirley (Harlan) Walker, Cathy (Billy) Marsh, Debbie Haney and Butch (Kathy) Strohl; sister, Joan Russell; 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Frank was preceded in death by two sisters, Maureen Licatra and Nancy De Meola; brother, James Donnelly; and daughter, Barbara Middletown.

A viewing will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m. on March 18, 2022 at Holy Infancy Catholic Church, 312 E. 4th St., Bethlehem, PA 18015. Burial will follow in Holy Saviour Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Infancy Church or Smile Train, 633 3rd Ave., 9th floor, New York, N.Y., 10017.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home.
