Frank J. Nickles, Jr., 82, of Bethlehem, passed away on Sunday, May 31 2020 at Lehigh Valley Hospital- Cedar Crest. He was born in Bethlehem on September 2, 1937. He was the son of the late Frank Nickles and Rachel (Orlando) Kukor. He was the loving husband of the late Barbara (Bartholomew) Nickles with whom he shared 55 years of marriage.

Frank attended Liberty High School and Pennsylvania State University for further education. At a young age he helped his parents care for his younger siblings. He married his wife in 1958 and also served in the US Marine corps reserve. Franks first jobs were selling newspapers and caddying at a golf course as a boy. Ultimately he worked 30+ years in supervision in the structural steel fabrication business. He also worked at Mack Trucks and in later years UPS.

Frank was a faithful Christian man. His hobbies were varied. He shared a love for dogs, particularly dachshunds, with his wife and children. Frank enjoyed watching television, especially John Wayne movies. He was also a very big New York Yankees fan, a love he particularly shared with his son.For many years his daughter has lived within walking distance of her parents to assist them in the same way they assisted their entire family, the community, friends. According to his wife, he could fix anything except for a broken heart. He was a man who loved his family and was always willing to help anyone.

Frank is survived by his children: daughter Cindy Nickles of Bethlehem and her Great Danes; son Frank Nickles III and his wife, Dianne of Hellertown; grandchildren: Amanda Rogers and her husband, Sean; Matthew and Allison Nickles; two great-grandchildren Killian and Viviana Rogers; Brother Edward Nickles, sister Christina Griffis, brother Joseph Nickles and many loving nieces, nephews, family members and friends.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother, Rudolph Nickles.
