Frank Klucsik

Frank C. Klucsik, 84, of Monroe Township, NJ, formerly of Bethlehem, PA died Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at Monroe Village in New Jersey.

Born February 26, 1924 in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Theresa Kondor and Julius Klucsik. He was married to Margaret Popovich Klucsik with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage on May 8th.

Frank served his country during World War II in the U.S. Navy as a ship repair mechanic stationed at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. After his military service he worked for a short time at the Fritz Civil Engineering Laboratory at Lehigh University. He worked for the Philadelphia Bethlehem and New England Railroad as a Master Mechanic and was also the head of the Locomotive Maintenance Department. He retired from the railroad in 1983 after 41 years of service. After retirement Frank returned to work for ten more years in the Mechanical Engineering Department at Lehigh University's Packard Laboratory. Frank was a member of the former St. John Capistrano Catholic Church and was also a past president of its Holy Name Society.

Frank will be lovingly remembered by his sons; John "Jack" Klucsik and wife Jane of Syracuse, NY and David Klucsik and wife Concetta "Tina" of Yardley, PA, sister, Theresa Pfeiffer of VA. Frank will also be remembered by his four grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his brother Stephen Klucsik and sister, Margaret Kiss.

SERVICES

A calling period will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem PA 18018 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM. A service will be held in the funeral home at 12:30 PM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Ghost Catholic Church 417 Carlton Ave., Bethlehem PA, 18015 at 1:00 PM.

Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem.

Contribution may be made in Frank's name to Parkinson's Disease Foundation 710 West 168th St. New York, NY 10032-9982 or to the charity of one's choice.
