Frank L. Minarik, 96, of Bethlehem, died on Friday, December 16, 2016. Born in Bethlehem on January 5, 1920, he was the son of the late Cyril and Rose (Pongracz) Minarik. He was the loving husband of Mary (Harvilla) Minarik; they were married 70 years.

Frank was a graduate of Liberty High School and Bethlehem Business College. He was employed by the Bethlehem Steel, starting as a machinist and retiring as the Chief Estimator in the plant office. He was a veteran of the Army Air Corps having served during WWII in the European Theater. He was a parishioner of Saints Simon & Jude Catholic Church and a member of their choir. He was an avid golfer, a member of the Bethlehem Steel Club and of the Bethlehem MORA Club.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Mary; daughters, Nancy Barnet and husband Richard of Wilmington, NC and Mary Frances Weaver and husband Michael of Downingtown, PA; 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Thomas Minarik; and sister, Margaret Broderick.

A viewing will be held in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, on Wednesday, December 21, from 9 to 10 a.m. A 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at Ss. Simon & Jude Catholic Church, 730 W. Broad St., Bethlehem. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ss. Simon & Jude Catholic Church or Holy Family Manor.
