Franklin D. Fenstermacher

August 20, 1934 — May 7, 2010

Franklin D. Fenstermacher 75, of Bethlehem, died on Friday, May 7, 2010 at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg in Bethlehem. Franklin was born in Bethlehem and was the son of the late Frank G. and Margaret H. Matthews Fenstermacher.

Franklin worked for the former Bethlehem Steel Co. in the Blast Furnace department as a keeper, retiring in 1990 with 28 years service. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. Franklin was a member of the Fountain Hill American Legion, the Disabled Veterans. He was a member of Trinity UCC in Freemansburg, PA.

Franklin will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Franklin G. Fenstermacher and wife Jayne of Bethlehem, William A. Fenstermacher and his wife Sharon of Hellertown, PA a daughter Sandra Lee Acevedo and her husband Edward of Bethlehem, brothers Stanley K. Fenstermacher and his wife Sandra, Charles Force all of Bethlehem, a sister Margaret E. Wolfe and her husband Donald of Center Valley, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.

Franklin is predeceased by his parents, and a son Franklin D. Fenstermacher Jr.

Friends may call on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Wednesday, May 12 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 East Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 followed by Funeral Service at 11:00 AM.
