Frederick J. Hossler, Jr., 34, of Northampton, died surrounded by all his family and close friends on Wednesday, August 29, 2012, after an eight day courageous battle. He was born in Pottsville, PA; son of devoted parents, Frederick J. Hossler, Sr. and Theresa Marie (Aucker) Hossler of Pottsville. Fred will be remembered and dearly missed by his loving wife of 11 years, Lori Lynn (Lohman) Hossler; his sons, Bailey and Tyler and his sister, Heidi Herring of Pottsville; as well as all of his family and many friends.
He was a 1995 graduate of Liberty High School where he wore #10 on the Hurricanes baseball team. He also attended Bucks County Community College, continuing in tradition and wearing #10 on their baseball team.
Fred worked for the commercial division of Ehrlich Pest Control and previously he served as a mortgage broker for local lenders. Fred could be found wearing the #10 with his closest friends on his softball teams and the "Silver Fox" enjoyed organizing Fox Fest to bring his friends together.
He will forever be remembered for always going above and beyond; for his kind, giving spirit; for giving the gift of sight in the donation of his corneas and for allowing another person to live by donating his strong heart. He will most importantly be remembered for dedicating his life to his family. He was so proud of his boys and loved to spend time with them. Especially when sharing his love for baseball as a coach on their little league teams.
