Frederick R. Halupka, Sr.

Frederick “Fred” R. Halupka, Sr., 82, of Bethlehem passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2019. Born September 20, 1937 he was the son of the late Mary (Olsowa) and John Halupka .He was the loving husband of Denise (Connell) Halupka.

Fred proudly served his country as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army National Guard of New Jersey. He was a contractor and electrician and was a member of the IBEW local 102. He spent 5 years in Warsaw, Poland supervising the electrical aspects of constructing 3 processing plants. Fred was very involved with the East Allen Township Volunteer Fire Department and was a past township supervisor. He enjoyed football, country and polka music and the Drum and Bugle Corps.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years, Denise Halupka; daughter Deborah Demyan and her husband, John; son, Frederick R. Halupka, Jr. and his wife, Karla; brother, Thomas Halupka and his wife, Margaret; sister in laws, Margaret Halupka and Helga Halupka; 2 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. Fred was preceded in death by his brothers, Victor and John Halupka.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 1861 Catasauqua Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18017. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2451 Crystal Dr. Suite 900, Arlington, VA 22202.
