Gary M. Winkle, Sr.

Gary M. Winkle, Sr.,73, of Bethlehem Township passed away in his home on October 09, 2023. Born on July 13, 1950, he was the son of the late Rose M. (Juretus) and Robert V. Winkle, Sr. Gary was the loving husband of Diane A. (Shaneberger) Winkle.

Gary was a skilled truck driver and mechanic, with a passion for fixing anything he could. He enjoyed bear and deer hunting, long trips on his Harley Davidson, Nascar races, going to the casino and playing pool with his friends. He had a soft spot for cats, often feeding and taking care of stray cats. Gary was a loyal and dependable friend that would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends who love him so dearly.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 34 years, Diane A. Winkle; daughter, Jennifer Bettuccio and her husband, Daniel; son, Gary M. Winkle, Jr. and his wife, Amy; stepsons, Zach Lindsey and his wife, Erica and James Fritsch and his wife, Alicia; brother, Robert Winkle, Jr; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and a nephew.

A viewing will be held on Friday, October 13, 2023 from 4-6 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A memorial service where family and friends will be invited to share memories about Gary will start at 6 p.m. in the funeral home.
