Gayvorlor S. Ghanwoloku, 66, of Bethlehem, died on February 13, 2016 at St. Lukes Hospital. He was born February 8, 1950 in Lofa County Liberia, Africa; son of the late Sumo and Larwou Ghanwoloku.
Gayvorlor was a Lincoln Technical Institute and Temple University graduate. He spent a majority of his career as an electrical engineer, working for the Bethlehem Steel and more recently Lehigh Heavy Forge.
He is survived by his fianc, Maria Sawadogo; brothers, John M. Lake; Robert Lake; Natanio Smith; Marias daughter, Ramona Joseph; as well as his nieces, nephews; friends and a host of family in Africa and in the United States. He was preceded in death by his son, Sumo and brother, James.
A wake will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. Gayvorlor will be flown back to his home country of Liberia for burial. Memorial contributions may be made to Moses Kpoyea, 1003 Yeadon Ave. Yeadon, PA 19050.
