Genaro Alvarez

Genaro “Nogles” Alvarez, Jr., 84, of Bethlehem died Monday, December 31, 2018 in his home. Born in Freemansburg he was the son of the late Pearl (Bradley) and Genaro Alvarez. Genaro worked at the Bethlehem Steel in the coke works retiring after 45 years.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Therese Alvarez, sons, Michael Alvarez, Genaro Alvarez III, and Francisco Alvarez, brother, Alejo Alvarez, sister, Amparo Remaley, nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, and his ex wife, Rosario Kahler. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Christina Webb and Loreto Alvarez.

A service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 at 11:30 Am, with a calling hour from 10-11:30 AM. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
