George Boksan

George "Satch" Boksan, 89, of Bethlehem; died on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York. He was born in Bethlehem the son of the late

John and Mary (Lazorchak) Boksan-Rice. He was the loving husband of the late Elizabeth "Elsie" (Copek) Boksan. They were married 43 years before her passing

in 1991.

George worked for Bethlehem Steel for 46 years as an engineer in the Rolling Mills. He was a lifelong and avid fisherman and a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Nancy, wife of Bernard Stano

his son, George J. Boksan, Jr. and his wife, Karen, all of Bethlehem Twp.; brother, John Boksan of Fountain Hill; his grandson, Jonathan Boksan of Bethlehem Twp.; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his two brothers, Michael and Edward Boksan.

Services: An Office of Christian Burial will be held, Saturday, May 12, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church, 1140 Johnston Dr., Bethlehem, PA 18017. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. with a Parastas at 6 p.m. and again on Saturday, from 8:30-9:30 a.m. with at Panachida at 9 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

Memorial contributions may be made to the church or St. Luke's University Hospital Network, 801 Ostrum St., Bethlehem, PA 18015. Attn: Development Office, to benefit St. Luke's North PT Department.
