George F. Batarick

George F. Batarick, 88, of Bethlehem, died on Friday February 25, 2011 at Manor Care, Bethlehem. Born in Monhanoy City on April 13, 1922, he was the son of the late Stephen and Sophia Walk Batarick. He was the husband of the late Jean Swoyer Batarick who died in 1999.

He was a long time employee of Mack Truck where he worked on the line and retired in 1993. He was a veteran of the Navy who served at Pearl Harbor during WWII. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and a member of Monacacy Field and Stream Association. He was also a member of Notre Dame of Bethlehem Catholic Church.

He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Ronald and wife Jo-Ellen, Mark and wife Rebecca, and David and wife Jenny, daughters, Rachelle Peters and husband Joseph, and Karen Temmel and husband Stephen, brothers, Charlie and Frank, sisters, Dolly, Eleanor, and Rosie, 12 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son George S. Batarick.

All services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3893 Adler Place, Bethlehem, PA 18017.
