George J. Andrews

George J. Andrews, 87, of Bethlehem, died on Tuesday, March 17, 2015. He was born Aug. 22, 1927 in Nanticoke, PA; son of the late Charles and Frances Andrews. George was the loving husband of the late Catherine (Pecil) Andrews. He was employed by the Bethlehem Steel for over 30 years, coached the Junior Bowling Program at T&C Lanes in Bethlehem for 30 years and was inducted into the Bethlehem Bowlers Hall of Fame. He played Minor League Baseball, served in the U.S. Army, and was a member of St. Annes Catholic Church.

He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Bob Andrews and George C. Andrews and his wife, Hilda all of Bethlehem and five grandchildren, Danny, Kelly, Kerri, April and Renee. He was preceded in death by his daughter Cathy.

A visitation will be held on Monday, March 23, from 10-11 am with a service to follow at 11 AM at The Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem. Interment will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
