George P. Peters

George P. Peters, 94, of Macungie, died on Sunday, November 05, 2017. He was born October 31, 1923 in Bethlehem; son of the late George J. and Anna (Mingora) Peters. George was the devoted husband to the late Sally (Michael) Peters. George proudly served in the US Navy during WWII. Upon his return from the war, George began his career with the Bethlehem Steel Corp. He retired in 1983 as the Foreman of #2 Machine Shop after 42 years of service. He was a parishioner of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Allentown. George was a member of the National Sokols and avid golfer.

He will be dearly missed by his family; daughter, Suzanne L. Kozy of Coopersburg; his sister, Rose Ortwein of Hellertown; brother, Charles Peters of Bethlehem; as well as 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sons, George Peters Jr., and Michael Peters, grandson, Nicholas Peters, brothers, John Peters and Edward Peters, and a sister, Mary Malinski.

A visitation will be held 10-11am on Friday November 10, 2017at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18018 with a service to follow at 11am. Interment will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of ones choice.
