George R. Palencar

George Palencar, 87, of Emmaus, PA

died Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at St.Lukes Hospital in Bethlehem. Born May 8, 1921 in Bethlehem he was the son of the late Helen Kolesarek and Victor Palencar. He was married to Louise K. Jeuter Palencar with whom he just celebrated 65 years of marriage on October 9, 2008.

George worked for over 30 years at the former Bethlehem Steel and retiring in 1984. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the former Ss. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church and also the Catholic Sokols. George was a generous man who loved his family and had a passion for cars.



He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Louise of Emmaus, daughters; Karen G. Krajczar of Bethlehem and Jane wife of Robert Vanim of Emmaus, grandchildren; Aleshea Maurer, Mark Vanim, and Rev. Mr. J.R. Krajczar. He is also survived by two great grandchildren, Annie and Daniel.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Victor Palencar and his two sisters; Mary Adamcik and Elizabeth Worsley.

SERVICES

A calling period will be held on Monday October 27, 2008 at Incarnation of Our Lord's Parish, 617 Pierce St. Bethlehem, PA 18015 from 9:30-10:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem. Arrangements Connell Funeral Home.
