George T. Mitcho

George T. Mitcho, 99, of Bethlehem, died on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at Saucon Valley Manor.

He was born March 1, 1912 in Drifton, PA; the son of the late John and Ann Mitcho.

George proudly served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII in the North Pacific Theatre.

He was preceded in death by his wife Agnes Timko Mitcho.

George was employed by PP&L for 30 years and retired in 1977.

He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

George was a member of the Heights A.A., N.E. Wanderers and the Catholic Sokols.

He played semi-pro baseball in the Anthracite League in the 1930-40's and was an avid golfer until the age of 92.

George will be lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on Friday, October 14, 2011 from 9-10:15 AM at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM on Friday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church 3219 Santee Rd. Bethlehem, PA 18020.

Burial will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem
