George W. Curran

August 18, 1928 — June 27, 2014

George W. Curran, 85, of Bethlehem Township, died on Friday, June 27, 2014. He was born in Elizabeth, NJ, son of the late George and Alice (Dick) Curran. He was the loving husband of Adelaide “Lolly” Curran, they were married 60 years.

George worked in the Time Study Department at the Singers Co. then in the Traffic Management Department at Sounddesign. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus. His proudest accomplishments were that of his high school sports, his softball in the military, and his role of Pop-Pop.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Lolly; son, George (Maria); daughters, Debra Canzano (Peter) and Alice Miller (Jeff); brothers, Phillip and Harold; sister, Eileen; grandchildren, Megan, Brittney, Eric, Lauren, Max, Kory and Elliot; great grandchildren, Haley and Addison. He was predeceased by three sisters and one brother.

Viewing hours will be held in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, on Tuesday, July 1st from 6 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. A 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1817 1st St., Bethlehem Township. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.

Contributions may be made to a charity of ones choice.
