Georgiana Simitz

Georgiana I. Simitz, 86, of Bethlehem, died on Sunday, December 28, 2008 at Old Orchard Manor Care Health Services.

She was born February 22, 1922 in Allentown, the daughter of the late William and Maude Frantz Wenninger.

Georgiana was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, John S. Simitz.

She dedicated her life to her family and will be lovingly remembered by her children Catherine and her husband Gilbert Werner of Effort, PA; Janis and her husband John Slaby of Easton, PA; John S. Simitz, Jr. and his wife Mignon of Roswell, NM; Sharon and her husband Randy Morgan of Pipersville, PA and Stephanie Guinn of Meridian, ID. Georgiana is also survived by her sister Sophie Fenstermaker of Allentown and her brother Harley Wenninger of Wescosville, PA as well as 10 grandchildren.

She was also predeceased by her grandson Taylor Simitz and her brother Donald Wenninger.

Georgiana was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

Arrangements have been made with the guidance of Connell Funeral Home, Inc.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 3, 2009, from 10 to 11 am at St. Anne's Catholic Church 450 Washington Ave. Bethlehem, PA 18017 with a Mass of Christian Burial to immediately follow at 11am.

Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, in Bethlehem, PA
