Georgine M Kelhart

February 22, 1941 — January 18, 2011

Georgine M Domyan Kelhart, 69, of Coopersburg, died on Tuesday at St. Luke's Hospice in Lower Saucon Township. She was the companion of Gerald W. Matla for the past ten years. Born in Bethlehem she was the daughter of the late Alex and Irene Molnar Domyan. She was the widow of Stephen Kelhart who died in 2000.

Georgine operated, with her late husband, Steve's Drive-In in Northampton until the 1970's. She worked for the Aspen Inn in Bethlehem for 17 years retiring in 2000.

She was dedicated to her family and always made meals and holidays special. In her youth, she excelled at swimming and softball and was captain of her cheerleading team at Washington Junior High, Bethlehem.

Georgine was the captain of her bowling team at the Hungarian Club in Northampton and a member of Our Lord's Ascension Polish National Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

She enjoyed crocheting and donated, through various organizations, many blankets for newborn babies.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Mark Kelhart and his wife Michelle of Palmerton; Donna wife of Gerald Hantz of Hellertown, Danielle wife of Ed Miller of Northampton; her ten grandchildren, Steven, Stephanie, Zahya, Jeremy, Joshua, Aryen, Jonathan, Jacob, Nickolas and Eddie and her great granddaughter Lorelei. She was preceded in death by her son Edward Talaber and her brother Thomas Domyan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m at Our Lord's Ascension Polish National Catholic Church 2105 Jennings St. Bethlehem.

Visitation will be Friday 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Connell Funeral Home 245 East Broad St. Bethlehem and also on Saturday 10:00a.m.o 11:00 a.m at the church.
