Gerald C. Snyder

Gerald C. Snyder, 67, of Bethlehem, died on March 3, 2017. He was the son of the late Beatrice (Keller) and Charles “Jack” Snyder and brother of the late Polly Snyder.

Jerry graduated from Liberty High School in 1967 and went on to get his Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Allegheny College. He worked for the Social Security Administration for many years in Los Angeles, California.

Jerry was passionate about music, movies and literature. He sang in choral groups and choirs whenever he could, and accumulated a substantial collection of movies and SciFi literature.

Jerry never married but had great interest and pride in his nephews, Grant Swisher, Daren Swisher, Todd Swisher and Charles Snyder; niece, Rachelle (Snyder) Minix and her husband Stephen Minix and great nieces, Jaedyn and Logan Minix.

He will be lovingly remembered by his brother, Allen Snyder and his wife, Lynne Lasry; brother in law, Sam Swisher; cousin, Ceil Connelly-Weida and her family, Brian, Jerrod, Rachel and Daniel; his uncle, Charles Keller and wife Carol; Keller cousins, Jeff, Greg, Robin and Candy Lou; Pam Terrizi and David Fresch; Snyder cousins, Drew, Cheryl and Dorette; Neil, Barry and Barbara; Philip and Rochelle Weida and his close friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2017 between 12 and 5 p.m. at the home of Ceil Weida, in Bethlehem, PA. Please contact snydry@cox.net for further details.
