Gerald "Curly" F. Hafey, 84, of Bethlehem, passed away on Tuesday March 5, 2013 at Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg. He was born on June 4, 1928 in Carbondale, Pa., son of the late Michael and Elizabeth (Sweeney) Hafey.
Gerald worked for the PBNE Railroad as a brakeman for 26 years. He was a veteran in the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict. He was also a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the ICC in Bethlehem Twp., and the Roosevelt Club in Bethlehem.
He will be lovingly remembered by his nephew Michael Boris and wife Wendy with whom he resided, sisters, Jean Henry of Rochester, NY, and Mary Leary of Clark Summit, Pa., and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother John Hafey, and sister, Elizabeth Boris.
A Funeral Service will be held 10am Friday March 8, 2013 at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18018. A viewing will be held from 8:30-10am at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
