Geraldine L. Philippi

Geraldine L. Philippi, 86, of Coopersburg passed away on September 12, 2021 at Cedarbrook Nursing Home in Fountain Hill, PA. She was the daughter of the late Agnes (Csekitz) and Albert J. Leitgeb. She was married to the late Richard S. Philippi, Sr. for 48 years until his death in 2004.

Gerry proudly served as an executive secretary for many years and retired from Mack Trucks World Headquarters. Gerry was a “people” person and was happiest when spending time with her family and friends. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren brought her great joy. She loved her gardens, her pets, especially Sheba and Fritz, and garage sales. Gerry accompanied her husband on business trips and they enjoyed making memories while cruising, sailing and at the beach together.

She will be lovingly remembered by her, daughter, Patrice M. Schaffer wife of Anthony, son, Richard S. Philippi, Jr., brothers, Albert, Jr. and John Leitgeb, six grandchildren, Eleyna, Paige, Megan, Toni Brooke, Quinn, and Rebekah, and eight great grandchildren. Gerry was preceded in death by her sister, Bernice Kirschman, her daughter-in-law, Camilla Philippi, and brother-in-law, Thomas Philippi.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 from 6-8 PM. A calling hour will be held on Monday, September 20th at St. Josephs Church 5050 St. Josephs Rd., Coopersburg, PA 18036 from 9:30-10:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Calvary Cemetery.
