Geraldine V. Olshefski

Geraldine V. Olshefski, of Freemansburg, died peacefully at her home with her family by her side on June 21, 2018. She was born in Nanticoke, Pa on August 18, 1936, to the late Veronica and John Gogola. With the death of her mother at an early age, Geraldine was raised by her Grandmother, Mary Cholewa. She was the loving wife of Robert P. Olshefski.

Geraldine graduated from Nanticoke High School. She worked at Holtz and Company, Miller Heights Sportswear and retired from Braun Medical. She enjoyed time with her family and friends. Geraldine loved making outfits for her grandchildren for all special occasions. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and participated in the Prime Time Group and participated in the many trips they under took. She also was a member of Sacred Heart Parish crocheting group and attended the YMCA Silver Sneakers fitness classes.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert P. Olshefski; son, Daniel Olshefski and his wife Laura of Salisbury Township; daughter, Karen (Olshefski) Hutchison and her husband Robert of Emmaus; 5 grandchildren, Erica Hutchison, Katrina (Hutchison) Tomanik and husband Joseph, Robert Hutchison, James Brennan and Toby Nicolosi and wife Domenica and 4 great grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Monday, June 25, 2018 from 6-8 P.M. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. A viewing will also be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2018 from 8:30-9:30 A.M. in the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 A.M. at Sacred Heart Church, 1817 First St. Bethlehem, PA 18020. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
