Gertrude C. Noon

Gertrude C. "Trudy" Noon, 89, of Sacred Heart Senior Living, Center Valley, formerly of Macungie, PA, passed into eternal life on Friday, August 24, 2012. She was predeceased by her dearly beloved husband, William J. Noon, in 2002 to whom she was happily married for 53 years. She was the daughter of the late Charlotte and William Conner of New York. She was also predeceased by a brother, William Conner and a sister, Irene Hirtreiter. Trudy was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 23, 1922. She worked as a secretary for National Cash Register in New York City until she got married. She was a devout Catholic and a member of the Assumption Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Colesville, PA. Trudy enjoyed making lifetime friends in places that she and Bill lived over the years, especially Charlottesville, VA and Washington Crossing, PA.

Trudy is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Diane Noon Harpster and her husband, Norman "Chip" Harpster of Bethlehem, sons, William John Noon of Carlisle, PA, Thomas Edward Noon and his wife, Maria Noon of Royersford, PA, and daughter-in-law, Denise Noon of Baldwin, MD. She will be greatly missed by her eight beloved grandchildren, Kelly, Bill, Jenny, Sarah, Ryan, Emily, Amy and Lauren. She will also be missed by her beloved niece, Nanci Hirtreiter of West Palm Beach, FL and nephew, Richard Hirtreiter of Brooksville, FL.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA. A 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday September 1st at the Assumption BVM Church, 4101 Old Bethlehem Pike, Bethlehem, PA 18015. Visitation will be held in the church on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church, Alzheimer's Association, 399 Market St, Suite 102, Philadelphia, PA 19106, or Autism Society, 4340 East West Hwy, Suite 350, Bethesda, MD 20814.
