Geza Paul Burkit

Geza Paul Burkit, 63, of Bethlehem, died on Tuesday, May 16, 2017. He was born August 14, 1953 in Bethlehem; son of the late William and Rita (Talijan) Burkit. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Kaufman.

Geza proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He later worked as a truck driver for B Braun Medical, Inc. Geza had a great sense of humor and was very sociable. Throughout his life he found pleasure in many things. Gathering with loved ones, fishing, bowling, and gardening were some of his favorite past times.

Geza is survived by his children, Robert Burkit and his wife, Malinda of Slatington; Geza Burkit, Jr. and Kathleen Burkit both of Bethlehem; and Donna of Michigan; two grandchildren, Elizabeth and Julianne and his significant other, Wendy Mohar. He was predeceased by his sister, Veronica Mackaravitz and his brothers Jack Burkit and William Burkit.

The family will receive friends on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 with a service to honor Gezas life to immediately follow. Burial will be held at Holy Saviour.
