Gizella “Grace” A. Kovacs, 91, of Bethlehem Twp. died on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospice in Lower Saucon Twp. She was born in Bethlehem, the daughter of the late Joseph and Grace (Toth) Krasnai. She was the loving wife of the late Charles W. Kovacs who died in December of 2000.
Gizella dedicated her life to her family. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bethlehem Twp.; and a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 3094 in Hellertown.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Charles T. Kovacs and wife Marilynn of Bethlehem Twp.; daughters, Kathleen Schroettner of Bethlehem; and Charlotte Zimmerman of Bethlehem Twp.; seven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Joseph and Edward Krasnai and a son in law, Robert Zimmerman.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1817 First St., Bethlehem, PA 18020. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. at Connell Funeral Home, Inc., 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Gizellas name to Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
