Gladys "Aunt Lottie" Kulanko

November 18, 1919 — May 10, 2018

Gladys Kulanko, 98, of Bethlehem, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at St. Lukes Hospice House in Lower Saucon Twp. She was born in Bethlehem on November 18, 1919. She was the daughter of the late John and Sadie (Yaroska) Gawlikowski. She was the loving wife of the late Joseph Kulanko who passed away in 2007. They had enjoyed almost 69 years of marriage together.

Gladys was a former member of St. Stanislaus Church. Early on in life Gladys was a Seamstress for a few sewing factories in the area. Later she became a Homemaker unmatched by few. “Aunt Lodie” loved flowers and enjoyed gardening. She was also known for her Signature Pierogies as well as her homemade noodles with either homemade chicken or beef soup.

Although Gladys never had any children of her own, she was always like a mother with a big heart to her brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews and friends. Whenever there was a problem, “Aunt Lotties” house was the place to go. She always knew how to make things right again.

Now that her role as an angel on earth is over and she is moving on to a new assignment in Heaven, she will always be lovingly remembered by her nephew, Joseph Gawlikowski Jr., nephew, Richard and niece, Terry. Gladys was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Chester, Edward, Joseph and Lenney; sister, Helen and Niece Linda Lemanek.

Services will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl. Memphis, TN 28105.
