Gladys Maria Delgado

Gladys Maria Delgado, 72, of Bethlehem died Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at St. Lukes Hospital-Fountain Hill. Born February 24, 1945 in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico she was the daughter of the late Filomena Ayala and Eduviges Montes. She was married to Manuel Delgado with whom she celebrated 46 Years.

Gladys worked at Lehigh University in the maintenance department. She was a member of Holy Infancy Catholic Church in Bethlehem where she was one of founders of the Committee Guadalupano.

Gladys will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Carlos Fuentes and wife Jodi, Robert Delgado, Marc Delgado and wife Tiffany. Daughters, Elena Fuentes and husband Jose A. Gonzalez, Miriam Delgado Matos and husband Ivan Jr. and Jessica Heater. Brother, Heriberto Montes, sisters, Carmen, Teresa, Hilda, Delia and Ana. Her eldest grandson Christopher Marquez, whom she raised as her own son followed by 16 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Angel Fuentes who passed away in May 2017.

A viewing will be held on Friday, February 2, 2018 at Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem from 6-8 PM and agai Saturday morning from 8:30-9:30 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Infancy Catholic Church 312 E. 4th St., Bethlehem, PA at 10 AM. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
