Glenn C. Wanich

Glenn C. Wanich, 92, formerly of Bethlehem, Pa. passed away on March 6, 2014 at Asbury Methodist Village in Gaithersburg, Md. He was born on January 22, 1922 in Bloomsburg, Pa., son of the late Rush C. and Edna (Sittler) Wanich. He was the husband of the late Mary K. (Kercsmar) Wanich.

Glenn was a Supervisor of Materials and Cost Control for Bethlehem Steel. He was a former member of St. Johns Windish Lutheran Church in Bethlehem, where for many years he sang in the choir with his son. He graduated from Bloomsburg High School and Lehigh University in 1943, receiving his B.S.degree in Chemical Engineering.

He will be lovingly remembered by his son, Glenn A. Wanich and wife Lucy of Putnam, CT, daughter Marysusan Wanich and husband Thomas Laddbush of Frankford, Delaware, grandchildren, Melissa Garner and husband Jason of Florence, Alabama, Timothy Laddbush and wife Pamela of Falls Church, Va., and Alex Laddbush of Denver, Colorado, and great grandchildren, Alexandra, Sebastian, and Jason Jr. Garner of Florence, Alabama.

He was predeceased by sisters, Carol Bell and June Davenport.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30am on Saturday March 15, 2014 at the Connell Funeral Home 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, Pa. 18018. No calling hours. Burial will be held at Bethlehem Memorial Park.
