Gloria A. Mutarelli

Gloria A. Mutarelli, 90, of Bethlehem, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at her home.

Born March 14, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Dr. William J. and Elizabeth (Evans) Aitken.

A graduate of Liberty High School Class of 1950, Gloria attended Hahnemann University Hospitals School of Nursing until returning home due to the death of her father.

After returning to Bethlehem, Gloria entered the workforce, holding clerical positions with Bethlehem Steel, Muhlenberg Hospital, AD Computer, and CEO America, where she remained until retirement in 2016. She loved being with her family, and enjoyed reading magazines, the daily newspaper, crocheting, plants, flowers, shopping, and watching AFV.

Gloria was preceded in death by her husband: Carmen A. Mutarelli, who died March 30, 2018; and her son-in-law: Marshall Kemp who died June 29, 2018.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son: Richard Mutarelli and his wife Kim; two daughters: Vittoria Kemp, and Patricia Recchio and her husband Steven; nine grandchildren: Richard Mutarelli (Melissa), Alison Kovacs, Nikki Carpenter (Troy), Kelli Kovacs, Matthew Kemp (Kristin), Nicole Kemp Sims (Brayden), Stefanie, Rebekah, and Steven A. Recchio. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren: Nolan, Colin, Mia, John Marshall, and Grayson (arriving soon.)

A visitation will be held on Tuesday July 5, 2022, from 9:30 to 10:30 am at St. Annes Catholic Church, 450 East Washington Avenue, Bethlehem. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 am, and interment will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the ASPCA.
