Gloria A. Reimer

Gloria A. Reimer, 91, of Bethlehem, died on Thursday, December 13, 2012. She was born November 19, 1921, in Bethlehem, daughter of the late Joseph and Marian (Dubrowitz) Reichard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene M. Reimer.

Gloria retired in 1985 after 43 years of service as a sewing machine operator in various mills in the Lehigh Valley and was a member of the ILGWU. She was a parishioner of Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church. Gloria was also a member of the St. Bernard's Ladies Auxiliary and the Golden Hillers.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Maria, wife of Richard Hulock of Carol Stream, IL; foster son, Leo Sweeney, husband of Kathleen of Barnesville, PA; sister, Dorothy Kuzmin of Bethlehem; granddaughters, Laura, Suzanne, Meghan, Sydney and Morgan and her great granddaughter, Maggie. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Ann Reimer; sisters, Elizabeth and Vivian; brothers, Joseph, William, Frederick, Robert, Walter, and Clifford.

A visitation will be held at the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Sunday, December 16, 2012 from 6-8pm. Another visitation will be held on Monday from 8:30-9:30am at the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM on Monday at Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, 730 W. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018. Burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. Memorial contributions may be made to the family care of the funeral home.
