Gloria E. Shields

Gloria E. Shields, 90, of Altoona, Pa. formerly of Bethlehem died Sunday November 25, 2012 in Altoona, Pa. She was born on May 8, 1922 in Summit Hill, Pa. daughter of the late John Cin and Maria (DeNardi) Cin Gavasso. She was the wife of the late Edward J. Shields.

Gloria worked as a registered nurse at St. Luke's Hospital and also did private duty for over 35 years. She graduated from St. Luke's Nursing School in 1943. She was a former member of St. Ursula's Catholic Church.

She was predeceased by a daughter Cynthia wife of Frank Filo of Plano, Tx.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Edward Shields and wife Linda of Chattanooga, TN. and John Shields of Trucksville, Pa., daughter, Gloria wife of Lee Sprankle of Altoona, Pa., 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A Graveside Service will held 10AM Friday November 30, 2012 at Holy Saviour Cemetery in Bethlehem, Pa.
