Gloria H. Dartouzos-Capuano

Our beloved mother and grandmother, Gloria H. Dartouzos-Capuano, 86, passed away on November 3, 2021 at Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Bethlehem, PA. Gloria was born May 18, 1935 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of the late Ann and Jerry Jurek, and was the younger sister of the late Regene Seeger.

Gloria was married to the late George Dartouzos for 18 years and years later to the late Anthony Capuano for 18 years.

Gloria graduated from Mount Marys College where she earned her teaching degree for Special Education. Gloria did have other career changes throughout her life. She worked at St. Lukes Hospital of Bethlehem, PA for 20 years as a unit clerk. She also worked at Lehigh Valley International Airport, Allentown, PA. From there, she worked at Rite Aid of Bethlehem, PA in the pharmacy. She enjoyed all of her jobs very much.

Gloria was a diehard Green Bay Packers fan. She loved talking about and watching football with her son, Tom. Gloria loved shopping with her daughter Cindy. In her pastime, Gloria loved being outside as much as she could. She also enjoyed just sitting at her kitchen table or on her deck, drinking her lemon iced tea or her hazelnut coffee, or even a bowl of ice cream, and just having a good conversation with her other two daughters, Andrea and Theresa. Gloria especially loved her ice cream.

She loved spending the last 17 years in the company of John Hartpence, who loved to make her smile. They both enjoyed going to the Poconos. Another favorite pastime was doing her crossword puzzles and her word searches.

Gloria is survived by her four children, Theresa Dartouzos, Thomas Dartouzos, Sr., husband of Tina Dartouzos, Andrea Kmetz, wife of John Kmetz and Cynthia Pinho, wife of Manuel Pinho; her ten grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Glorias service of remembrance will begin with the family receiving guests at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St. Bethlehem, PA 18018 on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 from 10-11 a.m. Glorias final resting place will be at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, 1700 Airport Rd., Allentown, PA 18109.

Gloria will be truly missed.
