Gordon D. Burk

Gordon D. Burk, 86, of Bethlehem died Monday, December 31, 2018 in his home with his family by his side. Born December 30, 1932 he was the son of the late Florence (Frank) and Charles Burk. He was married to Jane A. (Frankenfield) Burk with whom he would have celebrated 65 years of marriage this coming January 16th.

Gordon was a graduate from Bethlehem Vo-Tech. He worked as a draftsman for Bethlehem Steel and later the Fuller Company. After retiring he helped his son with his business and drove for VAST. Gordon could often be found fly fishing or looking into his familys genealogy.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Jane, sons, Scott Burk and companion, Sue Ruhe, and Thomas Burk, M.D. and wife Bonnie, six grandchildren, Olivia, Gabby, Nate, Andrew, Greg, and Melissa, and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Dean Burk, daughter, Pamela Burk, and six brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, PA 18018 at 11:30 Am, with a calling hour from 10:30-11:30 Am.

Memorial Contributions may be made in Gordons name to Blind and Visually Impaired Association, 614 North 13th St., Allentown, PA 18102 or to the Salvation Army, 521 Pembroke Rd., Bethlehem, PA 18018.
