Grace Defilippo

Grace DeFilippo, 81, of Northampton, died peacefully on Monday, September 29, 2014. She was born in Elmhurst, NY; daughter of the late John and Josephine (Montera) DeAngelo. She was the loving wife of D. Thomas DeFilippo, they were married 62 years.

Grace worked as an executive secretary in the Lehigh Valley for many years; 10 of those years with the United Way. She loved traveling and had fond memories of her 5 trips to Italy. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Bethlehem.

She will be lovingly remembered by husband Thomas; daughters, Lenore DeAngelis and Theresa, wife of Keith Zoba; son, Thomas DeFilippo; brother, John DeAngelo and wife, Catherine; grandchildren, Reed DeAngelis and Jana DeFilippo. She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Analisa DeFilippo.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Oct. 2, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Connell Funeral Home, 245 E. Broad St., Bethlehem, and on Friday from 10:30 to 11 a.m. in the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 3219 Santee Rd., Bethlehem Twp. An 11 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow. Burial will be at Holy Savior Cemetery, Bethlehem.

Memorials may be made to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America, 355 Lexington Avenue, 15th Floor, New York, NY 10017. Please include Grace DeFilippo in the memo.
