Grace Kern

Grace Kern, 96, of Bethlehem Twp., died on Friday, December 14, 2007 at St.Luke's Hospital.

She was born in Bethlehem, the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Feher Salontai.

Grace was preceded in death by her husband John Kern in 1988.

She retired in 1975 after 20 years of service as a seamstress for Josette Manufacturing.

Grace was a member of St. John Capistrano Catholic Church, Bethlehem

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Dr. Robert W. Kern husband of Molly of Bethlehem Twp.; sisters Laura Esposito of Palmer Twp.; Elsie Ament of Bethlehem and Nellie Doncsecz of Freemansburg. Grace is also survived by her five grandchildren, Lisa wife of Richard Scott, David Kern husband of Carole, Robert Kern, Jr. husband of Erinn, Stefan Kern husband of Kim and Kristen wife of Iker Saldivar and eight great grandchildren, Richard, Tyler, Alicia, Colby, Alexis, Keri, Kira and Ian.

Grace was predeceased by her sister, Mary Salontai and brothers, Elmer, William, Andrew and Joseph.

She was a member of the I.L.G.W.U.

A visitation will be held at Connell Funeral Home, Inc. 245 E. Broad St Bethlehem on Monday December 17, 2007 from 7-9 PM and again on Tuesday December 18, 2007 from 10-11AM in the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday December 18, 2007 at 11:30 AM at St. John Capistrano Catholic Church.
